Tons Of Debris
As canal was last cleaned in 2001, so there was obviously lot of garbage collected in the canal from all those years. After draining the canal when the initially started cleaning in the collected a lot of garbage. You won’t believe that in very initial stage only, they collected around 40 tons of debris. Well it wasn’t a shocker, given that it has been very long since it was last cleaned, also the canal has lot of visitors every day. So this amount of garbage was sort of expected.
