Astonishing Revelation Of Identity Of A Janitor!

The Only One!

Vernon Baker at his home in living area

This out of discrimination honor was only possible for Vernon Baker and no other soldiers from his race were able to receive this honor. It was because of the demise of these brave hearts. They were Edward A. Carter, Jr., John R. Fox, Willy F. James, Jr., Ruben Rivers, Charles L. Thomas and George Watson. They either lost their lives during their service or post war.

    1. I am pleased our nation’s military has finally and properly honored these brave men…and mildly proud as a retired Air Force man that our Academy family had a part to play in some of it. I will be looking to visit LT Baker’s gravesite at Arlington to honor him again and again on behalf of a grateful nation and fellow service member.
