Honor And Pride
Puller was able to secure his first Navy Cross while serving in Nicaragua. It was a big achievement. Because this was second-highest military award for valor who has taken part in a battle. It was almost like he was living his dream. Hard work and patience, paying off. The reason he received this honor was, because he helped fight off the Sandinista rebels the stood against the U.S. occupation of the country. He received this in the year 1930, when he leaded the whole Nicaraguan National Guard troop to win.
