Praising Wounded

warfare history network-com-chesty-puller-marine-world war 2

Puller was a man with big heart. He cared for everyone including the people who are not from his unit area. Every man who was sent to military jail, would go to Puller after serving their time. Used to guide in such a way that from that point, those men could never return to military jail. The man wounded due to 1st battalion was given a personal letter from Puller. It reads- “the officers and men of the 1st battalion 7th marines record with pride the path that you played in our success against the enemy until you received your injury in action”.
