‘The Perfect Soldier’

It is not like Puller is celebrated now only. he was highly appreciated and loved by everyone during his time of service too.
You must remember about the battle of Guadalcanal, when Puller was badly injured. Sergeant Leopold Jupiter was Marine Combat Correspondent back then. He praised him and said- “On Guadalcanal where heroes are made, I have found a man whom many call ‘the perfect soldier,’” Jupiter explained, “I picture my perfect soldier to be an inspiring leader of men, a fighting fool, a kind and tolerant officer, and above all, a fearless warrior.”
