Susan B. Anthony
It was a 1937, when The Congress passed the bill of adding Susan b Anthony to the monument along with four presidents. She was American social reformer and women’s rights activist who played a pivotal role in the women’s suffrage movement. Later this bill was not in action because for adding her they needed more time and fund which wasn’t available with the government. So this plan was totally dropped.
They wanted to honor her and her efforts. As she played very important role in America’s history. And as the plan of adding her face to the monument wasn’t successful, so they printed her face on a coin and that is how she became the first woman ever placed on United States currency. She deserved this honor.
