The Hall of Records
After the death of Borglum, his original plan and dream of hall of records was fading. It seemed like it will never happen.
Finally on August 8, 1998 the proposal was passed to begin the construction of hall of records. but in the proposal there was some changes. The original size was reduced, but the dream still existed. The hall of records was ready to come into existence. The best thing which they added was a repository of records at the entrance gate. This was kept in a teakwood box inside a titanium volt which is covered by granite capstone.
